FIELD: chemistry in dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of chemical application of metal coatings and can be used in the manufacture of dental burs from instrumental carbon and high-alloy corrosion-resistant stainless steels. The method includes preparing a solution for the chemical deposition of a nickel-phosphorus coating, preparing the surface of the workpieces by chemical degreasing, washing with water, etching, a second rinse, chemical deposition of a nickel-phosphorus coating at a temperature of 85–90°C with constant stirring, third washing and drying. Next, the workpieces are removed from the solution, washed with water, acetone, and dried with warm air at a temperature of 80± 5°C and then placed for 60 minutes in a drying cabinet at a temperature of 335°C to enhance nickel-phosphorus coating. Then electrochemical application and fixation of diamond powder is performed on the working surface of boron blanks. Afterwards, the specified surface preparation is repeated and the chemical deposition of the nickel-phosphorus coating is carried out again with final drying.
EFFECT: obtaining a protective coating for dental bur blanks that has increased hardness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance.
