FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: pickup press chain contains alternating by value of steps carrier links located every other equal amount of row links, each of which is designed as pair of plates, axles and bushings, hingedly and coaxially connected to each other. The internal plates of the carrier link of the chain are connected to outside plates of the carrier link of the chain using the bushing of smaller diameter which enters the bushing of the larger diameter. The row links are connected to carrier links using rollers installed in bushings of internal row links, onto which the plates of carrier links are pressed-on. The internal row links are connected to each other using the external row plates, pressed-on on rollers installed into bushings of internal links. On external and/or on internal surfaces of bushings of the greater diameter, with pressed-on on them internal plates of the carrier link of the chain, a protective layer of zinc with the width 10-100 mcm is applied.
EFFECT: applied zinc layer allows to create grease-retaining protective surface, that allows to minimise a wear of contacting to each other details and to protect joints and bushings from increased friction at loading.
