FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for diagnostics of fuel systems of high pressure diesel motor-and-tractor engines in operating conditions. The method of determination of technical condition of the fuel equipment of diesel engines consists in that for the operating engine the curves of fuel pressure change in a high pressure fuel-supply line are plotted and compared with reference ones. To plot the curve of pressure change in the engine operated at minimum steady rotation speed sharply the fuel supply is increased to a maximum value and during free acceleration the required curves are obtained.

EFFECT: improvement of accuracy of diagnosis of technical condition of the fuel equipment.
