FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine-building industry, namely to measurement equipment and refers to a control device of the size and shape of shells for internal combustion engines. The device represents an inside calliper with a measuring scale in millimetres and a head piece on the housing, as well as a metal plate repeating the shape of the head of a cylinder unit with a gas joint and five process openings, out of which four openings are made on edges and one opening is made in the middle of the plate. Process openings located on the edges have one and the same size and are intended for fixation of the plate at its installation on the engine unit by means of fastening bolts. An opening located in the middle of the plate is two-staged; the upper part of the opening is necessary for installation of a movable head piece of the inside calliper, and the lower part of the opening has the shape of the cone and is intended for movements of the inside calliper at performance of measurements. The head piece of the inside calliper represents a metal ring, with a movable element in the form of a ball with a hole made inside it, into which a plastic sleeve is pressed. The head piece is put on the inside calliper housing prior to its assembly and adjustment as per a standard on a worktable.
EFFECT: possibility of measurement of sizes and shape of parts at action of loads, determination of radial and axial deviations of dimensions of shells of an internal combustion engine after assembly.
