FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy. Crystalliser (1) includes through-type moulding cavity (2). Moulding cavity (2) is restricted in a direction of removal of a workpiece with inlet opening (3) for melt loading and outlet opening (4) for removal of a hardened workpiece. Across removal direction moulding cavity (2) is restricted with internal wall (5) of crystalliser (1). Moulding cavity (2) has zone (8) of load removal with the corresponding unloading casting cone (9) and several recesses (10) in internal wall (5). Recesses (10) pass along longitudinal length of zone (8) in the direction of removal and have a shape of a screw line with constantly and steadily decreasing depth or width along developed length opposite to the workpiece removal direction.
EFFECT: providing sufficient and homogeneous growth of a workpiece cover along the whole perimeter of a casting cross section and preventing high contact pressures and friction forces of a workpiece in a crystalliser.
