FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compressor building industry and can be used mainly for the creation of dry piston compressors of cylinder-and-piston group of medium and large capacity. The compressor consists of a cylinder 1 with check self-acting valves 2 and 3 in which a piston 4 is set to form a working chamber 5. A group of communicating vessels is placed inside the piston 4, they are filled by cooling liquid and are represented as longitudinal holes 6 located along the outer piston 4 generatrix, there is also a central hole 7 made as a cylinder divided by a massive piston 8 into cavities 9 and 10 which are connected to the longitudinal holes 6 by radial channels 11. The piston 8 is fitted by a core 12 made from the material with great specific weight (for example, from lead), mounted in the hole 7. The lower part of the piston 4 is equipped by the fins 15 to withdraw heat to the environment. Withdrawal of heat from compressed gas is improved and compressor efficiency is increased, it is also possible to use the minimal gap between the piston and the cylinder thus reducing losses and increasing efficiency.
EFFECT: reduction of piston's heat density allows for longer service life of a piston seal if it is made from self-lubricating composite materials.
