FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed process comprises the part spinning and axial feed of cutting tool with insert clamped in tool holder at preselected turning parameters. This process differs from known methods in that numerical magnitudes of constants of dependence of insert cutting edge on material removal rate are preset. These are used to define the optimum material removal rate to select optimum cutting parameters to allow optimum material removal rate.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
