FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal processing and can be used in blades processing of corrosion-resistant austenitic steels. Cooling method involves formation of liquid-air mixture by mixing of compressed air with process fluid with formation of turbulent vortex flow, which is divided into cold axial part, which is directed into cutting zone, and hot peripheral part, which is discharged into atmosphere, wherein the liquid-air mixture is ionised by fine aerosol dispersion in the flow axial part. Concentration of ions in the liquid-air mixture is set within 103≤n≤105 per 1 cm3, where n is the number of ions, and volumetric flow rate VF supplied process fluid is determined from given mathematical relationship.
EFFECT: use of invention allows reducing temperature in cutting zone and increasing resistance of cutting tools.
