FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method includes registration of a signal in a measurement point (MP) with available coordinates, which contains information on TO approaching an obstacle, detection of the moment of its registration in the MP (treg) and calculation of the moment of TO meeting the obstacle. As a signal that contains information on TO approaching the obstacle they record a ballistic shock wave, which is excited by TO flight with supersonic speed. On the basis of actual or apriori information on values of angles produced by the trajectory of its motion with axes of the selected rectangular system of coordinates, and coordinates of TO meeting point with the obstacle, they calculate the distance from the MP to the TO motion trajectory, using which and the value of the angle between the generatrix of the excitation cone and TO motion trajectory produced on the basis of the actual or apriori information on TO flight speed, they calculate the distance R from the surface of the excitation cone at the moment of TO meeting the obstacle before MP. The moment of TO meeting the obstacle is determined according to the formula
EFFECT: high resolving capacity, providing for determination of moments of meeting with an obstacle for several test objects, simplicity and compactness of used facilities.
