FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, namely ophthalmology, and can be used in clinical practice to diagnose chronic ischemia of tear-producing organs in secondary hyposecretory dry eye syndrome, and also to determine therapeutic approach, and to optimise medical and social rehabilitation of said category of patients. The volume of basic and stimulated tear production is determined. Then Trental 0.5 ml is introduced subcutaneously lymphotropically at 1.0 cm lower and 1.0 cm medially from mastoid apex. Provided higher basic and/or stimulated tear production, 40 minutes after manipulation, chronic ischemia of tear-producing organs is detected.
EFFECT: method allows determining functional reserve of tear production of great lachrymal gland and small lachrymal glands after reduction of their chronic ischemia, and thereby determining therapeutic pathogenetic actions and optimising medical and social rehabilitation of said category of patients.
