FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used mainly for maintenance and repair of electrical machines. The method of drying of isolation of electrical machines consists of five steps. At the first the surface layers of isolation are dried using the method of electroosmotic drying of isolation. At the second step the surface layers of isolation are dried by air flow. At the third step the drying is performed by air flow without heating. At the fourth step the drying is performed during assembly of the electrical machine in the open air. At the fifth step drying is performed by passing of electric current through the electrical machine winding.

EFFECT: creation of the most optimum mode of isolation drying ensuring increase of service life of electrical machines.
