SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an optical detection system for monitoring a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in real time in multiple specimen chambers using multiple optical units.
EFFECT: movement of optical units relative to specimen chambers enables to combine colour multiplexing and spatial multiplexing for optical detection of pathogens in a sample during PCR and obtaining a quantitative result.
