FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: heater for strength test rig during non-uniform heating contains flexible surface heating element (HE) with variable cross-section out of current conducting material and heat insulating enclosure. The surface heating elements are tensioned along the test object (TO) by the tensioners. Between the HE and TO a gap is arranged. The gap is ensured by point rests installation on HE surface. In the clearance a gas supply header is installed to ensure TO cooling during specified time moments. HEs have areas with different width with made cutouts. Gap and HE cross-section area are selected for each TO area depending on heat exchange conditions and are determined by calculations and tests. HEs are connected in parallel and are combined in groups corresponding to top, bottom and side outside surfaces of TO. Each group is connected to its power source.
EFFECT: higher compliance of AC test conditions with full-scale tests due to possibility to produce in time and in temperature of multiple heatings and coolings of different areas of TO surface per single test.
