FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves the intraoperative measurement of volumetric blood flow in the recipient's hepatic artery. If the volumetric blood flow makes less than 100 ml/min, paravasal tissues are infiltrated with 2% papaverine. If the volumetric blood flow remains unchanged 5-10 minutes after papaverine is administered, the hepatic arteries are mechanically dilated by means of a Fogarty probe. The blood flow velocity is controlled once again, and if it appears to vary for 10 minutes by no more than 10-20 ml/min, a gastroduodenal artery is ligatured. That is followed by controlling the blood flow velocity for the following 10 minutes, and if it is less than 100 ml/min and more, the splenic artery is ligatured. In specific case, diaphragm pedicles are dissected, and celiac artery is repaired with donor grafts of donor's iliac arteries.

EFFECT: method enables preventing thrombosis of the hepatic artery at the intraoperative stage of donor's cadaveric liver transplantation by controlling the volumetric blood velocity continuously.
