FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: insulator arrester includes an insulation body and reinforcement in the form of the first and the second reinforcement elements installed on its ends. The first reinforcement element has a possibility of being connected either indirectly or by means of a fastener to a high-voltage wire or to the second reinforcement element of the preceding high-voltage insulator of the above column or string. The second reinforcement element is designed so that it may be connected to an electric installation or a pole of power transmission line or to the first reinforcement element of the next high-voltage insulator of the above column or string. Besides, the insulator arrester includes three or more discharge chambers installed in the insulation body and in-series connected into a chain. Discharge chambers are made of bodies and electrodes mounted in the bodies with leads coming out of them. Electrodes are mounted so that they form discharge gaps inside bodies. Electrodes and their leads coming out of the bodies are fixed rigidly in the bodies. Leads of the neighbouring discharge chambers are connected, at that bodies have outputs to space around the insulation body and leads of the outermost discharge chambers from the chain of in-series three or more discharge chambers are coupled electrically to reinforcement elements or are led to surface of the insulation body.

EFFECT: reduced spread of discharge gap values in multi-electrode system when manufacturing insulation body using polymers.
