FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to a method of obtaining aminocarboxylates, basing on respective amines. In accordance with the claimed method at the first stage an amine is ethoxylated to alkanolamine at the reaction temperature in the range from 30 to 100°C. At the second stage the formed alkanolamine is oxidatively dehydrated to aminocarboxylate.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to obtain final aminocarboxylates with the low content of by-products.
