SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method and furnace for production of feed material melt containing metal-oxide agglomerates. The method includes restoration and melting of the feed material containing metal-oxide agglomerates, and periodic removal of fines from the furnace via one or more holes located in its bottom part, with assurance of the set characteristics of bed or layer of materials after long time period. Besides, furnace having one or more holes in its bottom part, step configuration is described, steps contain multiple afterburning burners, and devices for return of feed material portion removed from the furnace back to furnace.
EFFECT: possibility for correction of bottom part of agglomerate layer regardless of angle of slope and caving angle of the feed material, and material return to production without the process shutdown.
