FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: incision 2-2.5cm long is made within a navel ring. A thin-wall silicone cylinder with an expanded, thickened and rounded bottom is placed into the incision as a trocar. A retractor is screwed into the abdominal cavity through the top of the cylinder. The cylinder is left in the wound throughout the operation.
EFFECT: technique prevents intraoperative complications and reduces a risk of postoperative complications by providing gas-free laparolifting during laparoscopic operations.
