FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves laying and fixing patient on operation table in dorsal position and subjecting to general anesthesia and elevation of abdominal wall. Elevation is carried out by capturing tissues in the umbilical region and pulling upward. Auxiliary space is created in the abdominal cavity between abdominal wall and viscera. The space is created by introducing laparolift retractor with its fingers put together through a pierce penetrating into the abdominal cavity until fingers achieve position above the organ to be subjected to operation.. The finger ends have streamline shape. Retractor is fixed on the instrument holder axis. Retractor fingers are brought apart in fan-like manner in horizontal plane. The retractor is rotated in the plane set in perpendicular relation to patient vertebral column and the abdominal wall is stretched. Retractor fingers are convex-concave in length and elastically deformable. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; wide range of surgical applications; improved control quality. 11 cl, 10 dwg
