SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a fibre-optic terminal of a distribution network. The invention provides a fibre-optic terminal (10) of a distribution network and a method of deploying a fibre distribution cable. The fibre-optic terminal (10) of a distribution network includes a distribution box (12), having a base (14) and a cover (16) hinged to the base (14). The base (14) and the cover (16) form an internal region (28). A cable spool assembly (80) is placed in the internal region (28) of the distribution box (12). The cable spool assembly (80) includes a first flange (82) and a second flange (84). The first flange (82) has a flange (88) and an internal drum (86) which continues outside the flange (88). The second flange (84) has a tray (140) and an external drum (118) which continues outside the tray (140). The external drum (118) forms a channel (126). The external drum (118) is latched with the internal drum (86). The tray (140) holds a plurality of adapters (142), having first ports (182). The fibre distribution cable (36) is wound on the external drum (118) of the cable spool assembly (80). The fibre distribution cable (36) includes a plurality of connecting ends (186) which are connected to the first ports (182) of the plurality of adapters (142). The method comprises steps of: separating the cover (16) from the base (14); disengaging the flange (82) from a locking mechanism (200) located in the internal region (28) of the distribution box (12); drawing the end of the fibre distribution cable (36) protruding from the cable slit (30) of the distribution box (12) such that the cable spool assembly (80), located in the internal region (28) of the distribution box (12), rotates; engaging the locking mechanism (200) with the first flange (82) of the cable spool assembly (80); and placing the cover (16) on the base (14).

EFFECT: high efficiency of adjusting the length of a subscriber cable.
