Abstract RU 2555131 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to orthopaedics and traumatology. Acetabular prosthesis for implantation into iliac canal and acetabulum of ilium contains stem, intended for implantation into iliac canal and acetabular component, intended for implantation into acetabulum and fixation to stem, additionally containing connecting part, providing adjustable connection of acetabular component to stem with possibility of its orientation in plurality of directions before being fixed to stem, with connecting part representing augment, intended for placement between stem and acetabular component, wherein first surface of augment is intended for orientation of augment with respect to stem, and second surface of augment is intended for orientation of acetabular component with respect to stem, or positioning portion within acetabular component, or slot within acetabular component, with slot having a number of positions, in which fixation element provides fixation of acetabular component to stem. Method of implanting acetabular prosthesis into acetabulum contains the following stages: extension of iliac canal, fixation of stem in iliac canal, adjusting position of acetabular component in acetabulum, fixation of acetabular component to stem.

EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to provide prosthetics with reduction of bone mass, to improve possibilities of revision surgery.
