FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: cooled element is mounted in tuyere zone inside metallurgical furnace. The elements contacts lining containing heat conducting material elements and filler adjoining the cooled element. The lining is made in layers of materials with different thermal conductivity along thickness and height. The lining contacts melt or gas atmosphere in the furnace. Copper, nickel, iron alloy is used as thermal conductive material. Alloy with melting point below copper melting point is selected.
EFFECT: increased operation life of refractory furnace wall in melt bubbling areas and in gas atmosphere of furnace.
