SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to medical instrument engineering, and can be used in digital processing of optic disk images in glaucoma and other optic nerve disorders. An optic disk chromaticity is assessed according to the RGB system. The dynamic check of the optic disk status accompanying optic nerve disorders is ensured by a simultaneous assessment of a disk rim size in 8 meridians and vertical and horizontal optic disk excavation, as well as pixel values, including an area of the disk rim and optic disk excavation.
EFFECT: method enables assessing the optic disk status in glaucoma and other optic nerve disorders objectively.
