FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Proposed assembly consists of front axle and subframe to be mounted at the vehicle body part. Said body part is provided with front unit including two parallel frames and partition articulated with side members. Proposed process comprises assembling of front axle assembly and subframe. Then, front unit made up of side members and partition. Said front unit is positioned relative to locating tool with alignment points for securing of the front axle damper heads in compliance with preset front axle geometry. Damper head attachment cups are positioned relative to front unit and locating tool alignment points. Said cups are secured to front unity to position complying with those for securing of front axle damper heads. Locating tool is detached from front unit. Front axle assembly and subframe are assembled with front unit so that damper heads can be secured at their appropriate cups. Locating tool for implementation of proposed process exploits lower locating tool and upper locating tool.
EFFECT: accurate erection of front axle at vehicle body.
