SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. An instrument for arthroscopic resection in accordance with the first version contains an external tube and an internal tube. The internal tube is located inside the said external tube and contains an arthroscopic drill, which has a working part with grooves, passing along the length of the said working part and containing parabolic wave-like relief elements, located along external edges of the said grooves. The instrument for arthroscopic resection in accordance with the second version contains an external tube and an internal tube. The internal tube is located inside the said external tube and contains an arthroscopic drill, which has a working part with grooves, passing along the length of the said working part, and an extreme end with grooves. The extreme end and the working part have a different number of grooves. The grooves on the said working part or on the said extreme part contain parabolic wave-like relief elements, located along external edges of the said grooves.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides more intensive cutting with obtaining fragments of a smaller size in the resection of a tissue or a bone and, therefore the reduction of a probability of the instrument clogging and preventing the vision of the operation field by a surgeon, reduction of a probability of appearance of undesirable harmonics or resonances in the instrument.
