FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a method for reducing an amount of volatile substances in polymer compounds. The method for reducing the amount of at least one volatile organic ingredient in the polymer compound is implemented as follows: 1) providing a liquid polymer compound, which is substantially water-free and contains a polymer and at least one volatile organic ingredient, 2) contacting the polymer compound with a distillation agent and 3) processing the polymer composition in vacuum, and reducing pressure during stage 3), wherein stage 3) involves observing foam formation in a treated vessel and controlling the process of pressure reduction so that the foam is not higher than the preset height limit.
EFFECT: providing the effective removal of the volatile organic ingredients.
