FIELD: polymers.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polymer composition for the production of a medical device obtained by a method involving: (a)creating a first reaction composition containing: (i) a polymerization initiator that is capable of forming two or more free radical groups upon first activation, at least one of which is additionally activated upon subsequent activation, while the polymerization initiator is bisacylphosphinoxide; (ii) one or more ethylene unsaturated compounds; and (iii) a crosslinking agent; (b) subjecting the first reaction composition to the first activation step, with the first reaction composition polymerizing on it to form a cross-linked substrate network containing a covalently bound activated initiator of the free radical reaction; (с) combining the cross-linked substrate mesh with a second reaction composition containing one or more ethylene unsaturated compounds; and (d) activating the covalently bound activated initiator of the free radical reaction of the crosslinked substrate mesh in such a way that the second reaction composition polymerizes on it with the crosslinked substrate mesh to form a grafted polymer mesh and a by-side polymer. The invention also relates to a medical device, an ophthalmic device, a contact lens, a cross-linked substrate mesh, a method for producing a polymer composition.
EFFECT: proposed invention makes it possible to obtain polymer materials, including in cases when the components are incompatible.
