FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to the field of measurement equipment and may be used to monitor engine wear. The method includes the following stages: within the entire period of measurement P they read the current vibration signal (Vc) of mechanical vibration of engine components; within the period P they digitise the signal (Vc); the signal is synchronised relative to changes of the mode N; the signal is converted into a frequency signal for production of frequency spectral bands, ordered in accordance with the mode N; they calculate the average value of amplitudes of spectral bands to produce the current vibration signature (Sc) of the engine; they calculate extent of deviation (Δ) between the signature (Sc) and normal control vibration signature (Ss); and extent of deviation (Δ) is compared to indices of defects of the previously generated data base that includes theoretical damages of engine support bearings, to detect potential damages of the support bearing.
EFFECT: possibility to perform diagnostics in real time mode and to increase accuracy of defects detection in various modes of engine shaft rotation.
