FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: spiral connecting clamp consists of a protecting clamp 3, the conducting lay 4 winded on the branches 5, 6 of strands of spiral power wires which in turn are winded on the composite core 2. The branches 5, 6, and also the branches of the conducting lay 4 and the protecting clamp 3 are winded with a variable step and with the angle of lead α of spiral power wires, counted from the cross section of the clamp, perpendicular to the longitudinal axis x of the clamp, and varying according to the law α(x) = α0[l+cα(x/l)k], where α0 and cα - design parameters of the clamp determined by its intended use, working load and physico-mechanical characteristics of the wire or the composite core, l - the working length of the clamp, while the parameter k pre-determining change of the angle of lead of wire spirals along the clamp length varies within k = 0.2÷3.0. The internal surface of branches 5, 6 is coated by abrasive layer with the size of grains 0.05÷0.5 mm, and the composite core 1 of wire or the core and the wire - with polymeric or polymeric and ceramic coating with the thickness 0.5÷1.5 mm. The strand of spiral wires is made from the material with the physico-mechanical characteristics close to physico-mechanical characteristics of material of the core and of the wire 1 itself or its composite core 2.

EFFECT: high operational reliability of the clamp which can be successfully used in overhead power transmission lines with composite wires and composite cores.
