FIELD: electric power industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electric power industry; it can be used to branch wires of overhead power transmission lines from the main wire. A branch clamp is a T-shaped structure having at least one conductive winding, including at least one set of L-shaped conductive coils with one direction of winding, wound on a wire, and a set of L-shaped power coils that perform the function of a locking protector with the opposite direction of winding, wound on conductive coils. To reduce the weight of the branch clamp and improve its manufacturability, the clamp structure is made so that power coils of the locking protector protrude beyond the current-conducting winding with winding directly on the wire, while power coils of the locking protector have sections with different diameters in the places of winding on the current-conducting winding and at the ends outside the current-conducting winding when winding on the wire.

EFFECT: technical result is obtaining the branch clamp for connecting the main wire to the branch wire.
