FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device includes a tone audiometer connected to a skeletal telephone vibrator with a strap for fixation thereof in a given position. The vibrator is provided with a transparent detachable container filled with liquid, the sound absorption properties of which are to be investigated. The container consists of multiple series-arranged insulated compartments which are equipped with a cover which enables to fill the container with liquid (open cover) and prevents spillage of the liquid during investigation (closed cover), and the wall of the container has a scale which enables to measure the volume of the liquid in the container. The walls of the container of the vibrator are rigid or flexible.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of the device owing to use of an audiometer for investigating sound absorption properties of liquids.
