FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: screws are inserted into vertebral bodies adjoining an injured one, and rods are fixed thereto along he spinal axis. Lower and upper limbs of overlying and underlying vertebras are visualised. Canals are formed V-shaped at an acute angle to each other from the middle of a lateral surface of the lower limb of the overlying vertebra in the same plane, from the bottom upwards through the body into the upper limb on the opposite lateral surface of the vertebra; the screws are then inserted into the canals, whereas their ends are brought out 2-3 mm from the vertebral body. That is followed by forming canals V-shaped at an acute angle to each other, from the middle of a lateral surface of the upper limb of the underlying vertebra also in the same plane , from up to down through the body into the lower limb on the opposite lateral surface of the vertebra; the screws are then inserted into the canals, whereas their ends are brought out 2-3 mm from the vertebral body.
EFFECT: method enables providing the stable and final fixation of the operated region of the spinal column in thoracic, thoracolumbar and lumbar spines from the same ventral approach by eliminating the screw structure migration from the fixed vertebral bodies when moving in all the planes, avoiding the use of accessory metal implants when fixing the screws in the vertebral bodies.
