FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing N-aryl-1,5,3-dithiazecanes of formula: R=H, n-CH3, o-OCH3, o-Cl, m-Cl. The method includes reacting N,N-bis(methoxymethyl)-N-aryl(phenyl, n-toluidine, o-anisidine, o-chlorophenyl, m-chlorophenyl)amines with 1,5-pentanedithiol in the presence of a samarium nitrate crystalline hydrate catalyst on a γ-aluminium oxide support (Sm(NO3)3*6H2O/γ-Al2O3), taken in ratio N,N-bis(methoxymethyl)-N-aryl(phenyl, n-toluidine, o-anisidine, o-chlorophenyl, m-chlorophenyl)amine (mmol): 1.5-pentanedithiol (mmol) : 8 (Sm(NO3)3*6H2O/γ-Al2O3) (wt %)=1:1:0.05, at room temperature (about 20°C) and atmospheric pressure in ethyl acetate as a solvent for 4-6 hours. Output of the corresponding N-aryl-1,5,3-dithiazecanes of general formula (1) is 79-90%.
EFFECT: compounds can be used as biologically active compounds, selective sorbents and extractants of noble and precious metals.
