FIELD: physics, optics.

SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to sanitary science and can be used for remote decontamination of complex-shape structures. Claimed process comprises generation of pulsed UV radiation beam with the help of plasma source with efficient temperature of radiating plasma at maximum radiation pulse of 12000 K. It is directed to target object while mutual spatial position of the object and radiation beam is varied. Note here that operating conditions of radiators with pulsed plasma sources satisfy the relationship: where T is effective radiation temperature, K; τ is radiation pulse duration making 0.5 of maximum, s; F is radiation pulse repetition rate, Hz; t is radiation duration, s; S is radiation beam cross-section area, m2; d is distance of radiator from target object, m; A = 109 is coefficient. Set of inventions relates also to the device for implementation of described process including the case, radiation source composed of pulse xenon lamp, power supply and reflector.

EFFECT: efficient decontamination at distance from radiation source of up to several tens of meters.
