FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to determination of physical and chemical properties of substances and materials: relative density, number average molecular weight, Conradson coking ability, activation energy of viscous flow of multi-component hydrocarbon systems. Essence of method consists in the fact that determination of physical and chemical properties: relative density, number average molecular weight, Conradson coking ability, activation energy of MHCS viscous flow is carried out by determination of integral index of absorption of multi-component hydrocarbon system, linearly correlating with determined physical and chemical properties. Integral index of absorption of multi-component hydrocarbon system is determined by concentration if sample solution and its colour characteristic in colorimetric system XYZ, with primary determination of colour characteristics of sample solution being performed by photographic image of sample solution in colorimetric system sRGB, with the following transition from colorimetric system sRGB in colorimetric system XYZ, with carrying out correction of colour characteristic of sample solution in colorimetric system XYZ for standard radiation source after transition to colorimetric system XYZ. Determination of colour characteristic of solutions of samples by photographic images is carried out without application of devices for registration of electronic absorption spectra, which makes it possible to simplify and increase productivity of claimed method. After that, integral index of substance absorption, which linearly correlates with determined PCP, is determined by colour characteristic and solution concentration.
EFFECT: simplification and acceleration of MHCS PCP is achieved.
