FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to determination of colour on CNT scale of petroleum oil fractions and can be used in oil refining and petrochemical industry. Method is characterised by that it comprises first determining value C from percentage content of green light A in colour of petroleum oil fractions, linearly correlating with value C, wherein percentage content of green colour A is calculated from coordinates of red, green and blue colour RRGB, GRGB, BRGB in RGB colour system, which are determined in a bitmap graphic editor on photographic images of petroleum oil fraction, which is recorded with 75 W tungsten lamp as a radiation source, by placing petroleum oil fraction in a transparent flask: C=10.746–0.2539⋅A, where A = 100⋅GRGB/(RRGB+GRGB+BRGB), where A is percentage content of green colour in colour of oil fractio, %; RRGB, GRGB, BRGB are coordinates, respectively, of red, green and blue colour in RGB colour system, determined on photographic image of oil fraction, then calculated value C is converted to colour scale CNT, measured in units of CNT by rounding value C to a multiple of 0.5.
EFFECT: higher objectivity, simplicity and rapidness of determination.
