FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, particularly plant treatment compositions containing cyclopropene compounds. A plant treatment composition includes (a) a non-aqueous fluid, (b) droplets dispersed in said fluid, wherein said droplets include (i) a non-aqueous continuous phase which is a solid or a liquid of high viscosity and (ii) solid particles dispersed in said continuous phase, wherein said solid particles have median size as measured as the largest dimension of 100 mcm or less, and wherein said solid particles include one or more cyclopropene compounds and one or more molecular encapsulating agents. The disclosed composition is used in a plant treatment method.
EFFECT: disclosed plant treatment composition and method provide controlled release of cyclopropene compounds.
