METHOD FOR ENDOSCOPIC VEIN HARVESTING FOR CORONARY BYPASS SURGERY Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2561001 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: skin 2-3 cm is incised transversally on the medial surface of a lower extremity at the level of the knee joint. The great saphenous vein flap en bloc with surrounding tissues is mobilised through the created incision by performing bipolar coagulation and dissection. A tunnel is created above the great saphenous vein flap in the distal and proximal directions, which is followed by the surgical separation of the great saphenous vein flap in the proximal and distal directions. Once the separation procedure is completed, the great saphenous vein ends are ligatured and dissected away.

EFFECT: method enables optimising the surgical approach, reducing the number of postoperative complication by the non-traumatic separation of the autovein graft free from the vein wall manipulations, improving the aesthetic effect by creating the small incision.
