SUBSTANCE: switching device to set the vehicle movement mode contains a switching joystick (30) made with possibility of the automatic return to the reference position from the neutral position, position determination block, setting block. The position determination block determines that the switching joystick (30) is set to the neutral position. The setting block sets the vehicle to the neutral position, when the switching joystick (30) is held in the neutral position for definite time period or longer; and sets the vehicle to the neutral state, when the switching joystick (30) is set to the neutral position several times during the definite time period.

EFFECT: increased possibility that the movement mode can be quickly set to the neutral position as reaction to the action made by the drive in trouble.
