SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric vehicles. Power plant comprises storage battery; a battery heater; a battery management device for intermittent heating, when battery temperature is below threshold value and residual charge is greater than threshold value of charge. Electric distribution box distributes output voltage of battery. There is also a motor controller and a pre-charging capacitor supplying power to motor according to a control command and voltage, distributed by distribution box. Inductance of distribution inductor corresponds to capacitance of pre-charging capacitor. Method of heating battery of electric vehicle includes determination of temperature and residual battery charge. If battery temperature is below threshold value and residual charge is greater than threshold value of charge, heater is switched to intermittent heating. If battery temperature is below threshold value and residual charge is below threshold value of charge, heating or supply of battery energy and movement of electric vehicle is prevented.

EFFECT: improved battery operation.
