FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optic measurements and deals with a method and a device for optic comparison of structured or non-homogeneously coloured specimens. When implementing the method, a specimen section characterised by non-homogeneity in structure or colour is illuminated by diffused light by means of an Ulbricht sphere. An interference spectrum that is displayed onto the chamber is formed out of the light reflected from the test specimen section by means of a spectrometer. The obtained interference spectrum of the test specimen is used as values of the specimen, which are compared to the values respectively obtained for an identical section of the reference specimen.
EFFECT: simpler method and improved accuracy of measurements.
