FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used for drilling of hard-to-machine materials, particularly, titanium alloys. Cutter comprises body with circular outer working surface located about axis of revolution and provided with insert seats. At least one of inserts features one kinetic friction factor for front or rear surfaces, or cutting edge radius of rounding, or angle of inclination, or cutting edge safety chamfer width. Other inserts feature the other kinetic friction factor for front or rear surfaces, or cutting edge radius of rounding, or angle of inclination, or cutting edge safety chamfer width.
EFFECT: decreased vibration and negative effects on milled surface, higher cutter efficiency.
