SUBSTANCE: smoking product contains a smoking material core with a mouthpiece end and a distal end remote from the mouthpiece end with the core containing at least the first segment and the second segment where the first segment has a distal end determining the core distal end while the second segment is positioned downstream relative to the first segment as well as a mouthpiece attached to the mouthpiece end of the core. The first segment contains the first tobacco blend with the first level of endogenous smoke component while the second segment contains the second tobacco blend with the second level of endogenous smoke component. The second level of endogenous smoke component is lower than the first one; the first tobacco blend has a higher level of a smoke component inhibitor such as ammonia or amino acid as compared to the second tobacco blend; at least 30 wt % of leaf material in the first segment is represented by air-dried Burley tobacco.

EFFECT: creation of a smoking product and a smoking product production method where one or more smoke components are reduced with preservation of the desirable sensually perceptible indices and characteristics of the tobacco blend when he smoking product is smoked by the consumer.
