FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: paper has the hydrophobic surface and is used with a tobacco substrate with a high level of humidifier. The smoking article comprises the tobacco substrate comprising at least 15% of the humidifier; and the paper wrapper disposed around the tobacco substrate, the paper wrapper being hydrophobic due to hydrophobic groups covalently bonded to the paper.
EFFECT: providing a mechanically stable smoking product having a high level of a humidifier, reducing the amount of wetting the paper wrapper surrounding the aerosol-generating substrate during the use of the aerosol-generating product, creating a smoking product comprising paper poorly absorbing water or compounds contained in the inhaled smoke or an aerosol passing through the smoking product or contained in a medium surrounding the paper, and that the hydrophobic paper does not affect the taste of the smoke or the aerosol generated by the smoking product.
