FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is a method for birch microplants storage under in vitro conditions, including microshoots culturing on a nutrient medium of 1/2 MS without hormones with a high content of ascorbic acid of 2.0 mg/l, with 6 g/l of agar-agar added while storing the tube plants at a temperature of +4…+7°C in the dark. The invention allows to store various valuable birch genotypes for more than a year without transplantation: productive, fast growing, resistant to adverse environmental factors, with decorative patterned wood, etc., without losing their high regeneration potential and viability under in vitro and ex vitro conditions.
EFFECT: extended shelf life.
