FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: studying formation and progression of liver changes caused by toxic-chemical disturbing factors is ensured by the presented method for simulating a sub-acute toxic liver involvement. The method involves administering formaline into male rats orally during 21 days. The administration is performed every second day at 0.2 ml per 100 g of animal's body weight. That is combined with the exposure to 10% ethanol used as drinking water taken by animals infinitely.
EFFECT: method provides developing the pronounced degenerative involvement of almost all liver portions that is proved by higher blood serum transaminases, creatininemia, depression of synthetic ability and developing cholestasis.
