FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used for simulating liver cirrhosis. Wistar rats are intraoperatively injected with ademetionine into liver parenchyma. 10 consecutive injections are performed at depth of 2-3 mm at a distance between the injection points of 5 mm. Preparation is administered in dose of 0.1 ml at concentration of 400 mg/ml.

EFFECT: method provides easier formation of a model of cirrhosis of hepatic tissue for up to 14 days, which in turn allows studying the pathogenesis and morphological picture of the disease in detail and working out modern methods of treatment.
