FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: device relates to ultrasonic control and measurement equipment and may be used in devices for monitoring of flow rate of high-temperature liquid and gas flows. The waveguide ultrasonic converter of the flow meter comprises a piezoelectric converter, a waveguide plate, having surfaces for contact with the piezoelectric converter and surface of a pipe with controlled medium, and devices of waveguide plate pressing to the pipe and the converter. In it the waveguide plate is made in the form of an extended parallelogram, one end of which is pressed to the pipe surface, and on the second one there is a converter of shift waves, at the same time the angle of the sharp angle of the parallelogram is selected mostly in the range of 20-50°.
EFFECT: improved operating characteristics of a device, namely, reduction of heat quantity arriving along a waveguide to a converter, and also the possibility to level temperature field in a waveguide plate.
