SUBSTANCE: method includes mounting a cylindrical sample, having at one end a shoulder formed by grinding out an annular rectangular groove intended for holding a tension grip, in tension grips. A load is applied and tensile force is measured when the shoulder shifts relative to the centre of the sample, and the adhesion strength of the fibres of the material is determined using a mathematical formula.

EFFECT: high accuracy of testing and obtaining reliable values of the adhesion strength of fibres of uniaxially oriented fibrous composite materials.
