METHOD OF INTERPHASE ELECTROCHEMICAL REDISTRIBUTION OF IONS IN DISPERSE SYSTEMS Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC C02F1/46 C02F1/463

Abstract RU 2566135 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for interphase electrochemical redistribution of ions in disperse systems and may be used in metallurgy, machine, building, oil, chemical industries and at various natural water bodies. The method includes polarization using a pair of electrodes with area ration not equal to 1; one electrode is placed in the area of maximum fluid flow while the second one is placed in the area of minimum fluid flow; with subsequent depolarization using a pair of electrodes with area ration not equal to 1 using one electrode placed in the area of maximum fluid flow and the second one placed in the area of minimum fluid flow. Each electrode pair in each process is placed in individual cases made of interconnected electric insulating materials. Polarization is controlled by the preset potential drop at the electrode pair from direct-current power source, at which main part of electric power is consumed for change in polarization component, not to initiation of electrolysis processes. Depolarization is controlled by initial increase in potential drop at the electrode pair by means of direct-current power source up to values characterized by commencement of electrolysis processes, with further disconnection from direct-current power source and connection to the electrode pair of electric load. The method is carried out in fluid flow mode with periodical switching to direct-current power source in order to maintain potential drop within the interval sufficient for implementation of the process of interphase ion redistribution.

EFFECT: reduced or increased ion content in various fraction components of disperse systems, low power consumption, low material consumption, high adaption to various process layouts.
